Bought this boot based upon brand, looks, sole and style. As a name brand, Chippewa is known for quality boots despite Chinese manufacture. I also liked the medium-brown color of the bay apache leather upper, its waterproof properties, the 6'' height, its composite toe, speed loops and aggressive rubber outsole.But in my opinion at least, the lack of a fourth loop toward the boot's toe box is a design flaw that makes the boot feel loose despite medium width size designation. Sensed my feet moving extensively within the boots while walking steep, grassy hills. Rather than gloves, the boots felt like mittens. I also suspect the nubuck-like leather upper will show dirt and stains easily without easy cleaning. Kudos to Amazon for accepting my return despite signs of minor wear.
