Since I started riding about two and half years ago, I've been on a quest for the perfect boot. I owned 8 pairs before the Rallies including some European ones (TCX, BWW, Diadora, Gaerne), Carolina engineer boots, and a few Chinese-made ones (Xelement, Harley brand).The European ones were either summer mesh or "touring" boots with a waterproof lining. I find even good quality waterproof systems hot in the summer. I seldom ride in the rain so it's eay to just put on boot covers when I do. So the first criterion in my quest for the perfect boot was construction of plain, good quality leather.Then, I was looking for comfort, both for walking and wearing all day (my weekend fun rides are often 10-12 hours).
